Root canal treatment with laser

The laser complements the traditional root canal treatment techniques.
Strong laser fiber is inserted into the exposed root canal where it kills bacteria along the entire length of the canal, also in the 1 mm depth of the dentinal wall and the side canals which are unaccessable for the hand held instruments.

This is a much more effective way than the chemical disinfectants.
In many cases it is possible to close down the root immediately with permanent filling and thus shorten the treatment.
